I think the fly is a type of Damsel fly. The yacht was just passing by and I loved to see the way the older ones cut the water. The Lilacs Buddha and Chippie was a quick shot from the dining room last night with the Panasonic DMS-ZS5 to make sure it works well before an outing today.

I agree about the yacht. A great pic that shows the best of her lines and grace.
Thanks

The boat fenders ruin the picture.

Thanks, to me the older yachts have so much more class than the new fibreglass/composite hulls.

Following your title I was expecting to see a maiden aboard a yacht.

Love the boat. Its lines are dynamic and I definitely give the owner a whole lot of credit for keeping it in operational running condition. In #3 I do like the little buddha sitting amongst the flowers. Mahalo for sharing.

I like the damselfly, a little different angle than usual.

All are very good shots, Woodsnman, but the Damselfly is amazing. It looks like you got right down on her level!

Thank you, you just cannot beat a wooden boat for lines and how they cut the water.

Thanks, I was lucky. I was sitting on the deck watching for the sapsucker and this guy landed on the deck rail right in front of me

Thank you, me too, they are the best. No comparison to man made material craft
