Hello everyone:
I'm glad I found this place, I have already learned quite a bit in just a few days of lurking!
I am a biochemist/structural biologist heading a research laboratory that studies ALS, parasitology, and bacterial pathogenesis at the Univ. of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
I became an enthusiast fairly recently when I acquired a D750 and a 28-300mm AF-S G lens immediately prior to a 2 week trip to Alaska. Since then I have become completely smitten by photography and post-processing. My new hobby has been pretty draining on my bank account (Fuji X-Pro2, D5) and multiple Nikkor and X-mount lenses (I won't list them here). I am interested in landscape, cityscape, wildlife, macro, and portrait photography.
I look forward to learning from all of you! :-)
John

Welcome to uhh. You seem to have your gear already acquired. Whether amateur or pro, we all learn from eachother. and we disagree too.
Welcome to the hog. Most people here are very helpful. The rest are like you. Trying to learn.

[quote=SpinDooD]Welcome to the HOG, SpinDooD. Most of us use some version of Photoshop. I use to have the full version, but I find Elements is all I need. If you want to pick up tips. Post, click on "store original" and ask for advise. The camera data is available to members and you will get specific help. This is the place to teach and to learn. I hope you do both. David
Welcome to the Forum John, enjoy.
