I have never been able to grasp the Biblical definition/belief of Heaven and Hell so I've done some research and found some interesting articles that possibly back up my theory that both are the result of ancient superstition and folk/campfire stories.

Whew, you must be bored Harvey. Can't you find something to photograph in your spare time?

The fact is I am so tied up in having to find a suitable home to rent and get moved I have not downloaded what few photos I've taken. This being Sunday and the Biblical/Religious people I have talked to so far have me on a bit of edge as I don't follow that path.
So I thought I would post some research that is historical more factual than the Bible and it's semi truths to see if there were others here on UHH who were inquisitive rather than b rain washed.

A quick "speed read" of the info I could find leads me to my conclusion that these were children raised and taught in a strict Catholic family and area. Much believing the strict teaching/brain washing of the Catholic doctrine. Reading their supposed statements are just echos of threats and supposed promises by the clergy.
The images of both heaven and hell - painted, drawn. preached then and today are strictly the imagination of the peoples being lead by the "Snake Oil Sales People" who continue to spread this fiction.

Don't get me wrong - I am all for a basic Christian way of life.

Only problem with that is. These children were chastized by the entire community. They were reporting of visions. The entire town or community were shown aspirations none could explain away.

I did notice a large quantity of literature as well as books regarding this subject- I just may buy one.

One of the greatest hoax of the Mayan "War of the Casts" was a talking idol.

As I am not much of reader of many books these authors do not mean any thing to me but I would look a couple of them up if I had their full names. And as far as Carlin is conserned I would definatly watch anything of his if you are talking of George Carlin.
Now there is a guy who spoke the truth.

Predictions are the same as horoscopes - they will come true to those who believe in that kind of Hokus Pokus and fortune tellers.otherwise it is called "strange that happened that way" Oh - and why did not ALL the predictions come true?

Did you really mean "aspirations" or something else? Apparitions maybe?

Years ago when I was working in tourism, a visit to Fatima coincided with a recent visit by the Pope a day or so before. At lunch in a local restaurant I asked the owner of the restaurant if there had been any apparitions among the crowds? "No" he replied, "but there were plenty of DESapparitions; wallets, watches, bracelets, necklaces, handbags ......."

If money is the root of all evil, then why are churches always asking for it-----Hmmm-------double standard here I think.
That's one reason why I don't believe in ANY religion, there all full of lies and double standards.

Much too deep for me Henry - but good luck in your researches . Don't suppose anyone could venture a guess as to whether Nikon or Canon would be the better bet for either of the destinations?
