I recently got rid of the double showing of my USB drives when I put them in my computer- When examining the window in explorer I came across a Folder named
(Windows.old) it has some 20 something GIG of files in it. Can this folder be Deleted
safely. I had Win 7, an upgraded to 10 almost a year ago. Had the same problem with drive letters showing up 2 times, at that time I had already downloaded the ISO file and then did a clean install with ISO file. Microsoft helped with my ISO install because my Win 7 Product Key no longer worked. But the ISO file was for Win 10 Home 64bit- not my Win 10 Pro 64bit- but since I already had Win 10 Home 64bit on my Laptop it did not matter to me at all that I only got the Home version. So back to the ? of can I safely delete that folder?

Yes. It's purpose is to revert back to Win 7, within the 30 day reactivate period. However, it is not a bad idea to save the folder on an external or flash drive. (just in case). I deleted min after the 30 days revert back period.

Thank you Mark for that info, I think I will save it to a external with my backups in a separate folder Just In Case. Thank you for your quick reply.
