I think to get rid of the black I would have given it more light, maybe two pieces of white foam board ( $1.00 at the dollar store) behind ( not directly behind but to the sides) , of the plant . the light would bounce giving it back lighting , making the flower brighter and maybe get rid of those lines. Also its not quite in focus ( IMHO) if your not using a tripod, then find a place where you can set the camera down so it doesn't move. such as on a pillow etc. Try again and let us see how you made out........ I know RED can be a problem . I had a major hard time shooting roses, and finally used very bright top light getting a really great effect.
