Fort Connah, Montana

Fort Connah, just North of St. Ignatius, Montana, was a Hudson Bay Company trading post from 1846-1871. After the northern boundary of the United States was established, the Post was closed in 1871.
The Fort Connah Restoration Society is currently working to restore the Post. The main building still stands on its original site.
They had a reenactment there April 30th, these photographs are from that reenactment.

Very nice set! I love that you did them in sepia and the image of the two men is really excellent.

Terrific series with a great sense of place and that time in history. The close-up of the wool (?) spinning is awesome!
