Here she is in color with a cute little pose she did briefly. As you can see she is looking to the side wanting to go where her brother and sister ran off to. Let me know what you think of the photo. Thanks again.

I think it's a great photo. Get them while you can, they grow up super fast.

I like the diagonal lines of the play ground equipment. I think you could make her eyes stand out a little more with some pp work. I am a long way from being a portrait photographer but have picked up a few tricks. If you do a duplicate layer via copy of just her eyes then apply a high pass filter with radius around 7, then change the layers mode from normal to soft light. You might have to play around with the values a little but it will really make her eyes stand out. In this image they look flat and devoid of detail to me.

Thank you. In the old days it was film and would cost money to take photos and now that it's digital I have thousands of them. They do grow up far too fast.

Thank you. I learned so much from UHH such as diagonals. I don't have PS any more hopefully my job situation will improve soon (in the oil business) and I can get it back. I have a few photos of her that I want to touch up the eyes so I'll have to try what you suggest. I'm also thinking about using a gold reflector in shots similar to this in order to get a little more light on her eyes. They are a beautiful blue but in the shots I've got there is never enough light on her eyes. I'll get the reflectors once I am gainfully employed again.

In a pinch you can always use Gimp. It has a bit of a learning curve but if you know PS you should find it fairly easy to learn.

Hi, great shot of a wonderful photo opportunity.

Here is what I would do with it.

It seems a little bit washed out, particularly the shirt, so a small amount more saturation and/or vibrance.

The dark gray vertical bars add nothing to the image, so try cropping inside them.

That face is precious. It needs to be more dominate in the photo. So, I would crop much closer to just include the head, hair, and one or both arms.

Saturate the blue color in the eyes more to bring them out. Or something along the lines of what Country Mama has already said.

A really tight crop of just the face and a some of the hair around the face is another possibility. That one diagonal bar still gives enough context.

Different crops make so many different photos, and with this subject they are all great.

I like this one much better. She's got a lovely little smile and it's cute the way she is looking out of the side of her eyes. I think your colours are lovely .. not oversaturated. I agree with the crop suggestion and also with the suggestion on brightening her eyes, but overall it's a lovely photograph. A slightly more shallow DOF might be nice, but that's a tough mix with little kids that are moving around.

Thanks so much for your comments. The DOF is difficult when they move around so much but she's getting pretty good at letting me photograph her and she'll do a little pose.
