I posted this image in "For Your Consideration" forum last month and decided to repost here to see if I can get the hang of posting in the new format. Reading directions are always a challenge for me, I'm always better if I'm shown, but whatever...
Ok, I'm not getting it. I've reread the instructions several times, not sure why the photo image does not appear. I hit on "choose file", selected the image, then hit preview and still no image. I think I need step by step directions.
Thanks all, you can ignore this post.

You're scaring me! I haven't tried to post with the new format, but if you're having trouble, I may need to have remedial help. :-}
Donna and Linda seem to think it is easier, but I'm not convinced,Vicki. I'm afraid to try again as I've just reread the instructions and I thought I did it step by step. Now I'm frustrated and don't want to post again and have the same issue with no image.
Perhaps, UHH, needs a youtube tutorial.

Carlysue, try hitting preview after you fill in the topic title and initial post text. Then you can proceed to select an image and hit add attachment. Shortly the added photo will show in your preview that was created after the text step. You can then repeat the process to add more images to your preview. Once you are satisfied with the entire post-text and attachments-hit submit. That should work.
I thought that is what I did,Carol, and I only had one image to attach (I don't usually do multiple). Plus, why don't they show "Buddy List" at the top header?

If you go to your profile and scroll down, buddy list is one of several things you can 'check' so they show up in the page header. It is worth taking a good look at all the things that have been added to the profile section.

So if I go back and hit "preview" and then "Choose File" and then "Add attachment" and then "Send", the image will show up?

It worked for me. I just started out as before and filled in the title and some text. Then I hit preview. Once the preview came up I scrolled down to where I could select a file for attachment. Once selected I did 'add attachment'. You don't need to hit preview a second time. After a few seconds the photo was added to the preview that already existed. When it was ok I just hit submit. I hope this helps. I added 5 photos and it was much quicker and worked better than the old way.

Ok. Thanks. I might give it a rest for tonight, brain is getting frazzled. And, thanks for the link to go back and add Buddy list, I guess I thought it would always just be there and I didn't have to check it. I hate reading instructions. and rules. and insurance forms. and car manuals. and camera manuals.

A decent night's sleep can do wonders. Every one learns differently. I just happen to be real big on reading instructions (drives my husband crazy) and I like figuring out software so I have had fun figuring this stuff out!
You are a wonder to me,Carol. Actually, that's one reason I kept my sister around,so she'd let me know how to play the various board games. And my husband. He fills me in on the instruction manuals, investment details, insurance crap,news...
You need to hit send for everything to show up. Including your title and discription.
Hit send after every photo is ready to post. Then you can use 'Choose File' to add more photos if you wish.
Preview is just for you so you can see if anything needs to be changed. You can then
go back to every photo and edit or delete after it's posted. I like the new format
but it took some time to understand it.

Thank you Yooper 2. I am not patient with directions, especially if they seem tedious and I got frustrated. Reposted this a.m. carla
