Unfortunately all to true from some of my observations.....
Those who lack courtesy, common sense, and cause and effect reasoning. Seems to be an increasing fault in society.
I also teach Hunter Education and we cover many of these similar issues when we talk aboat the ethics of hunting. It would be good to have a "Photographer Ethics" certification course that would allow you to able to photograph at places like that plantation in the article. If you don't have this card on your person then you can't shoot in those places.
As photographers we should be policing ourselves. Report those who you see break laws or rules.
If you don't like this solution, what other solutions would be workable.
There are A$$&*#@s in every group. I would like to think that they represent a very small percentage of the whole. Unfortunately, this tiny percentage gets the publicity. My first thoughts on the "sneaking in" part is that it is a tactic that has been used quite successfully by news reporters. Have you ever had to deal with one? The ones I have were anything but courteous and ethical.
I love the last line in the article!
I have found I can get to places that are completely out of bounds by simply showing a little respect and asking.
Then being treated like royalty!
LOL
Let the camera be the tool, not the photographer!
Priceless
