Compare the specifications on the cards with the specifications in your FZ-200 manual before you attempt to record video. Be sure the camera supports the card, AND that the card supports the camera for the quality level of video you wish to record.

I already had (have the manual on my laptop). It's the biggest card my camera takes and it can record 4K which is better than the FZ can do. Because the trip is 2 weeks long, we will be constantly bussing and hiking and we can only bring one suitcase and a carry-on I thought it would be prudent to carry something more compact and lighter (carrying the Sony w/3 lenses and a flash around a zoo for 6 hrs gave me a neck/back ache). This will be my longest trip by about 30%. When I go to an airshow this weekend I will bring both cameras. When I get back I will start saving for an a99.

I do lots of video with my Canon. I use 8's and a 16 class 10.
Unless you plan to roll for extended periods, not really recommended with a dslr, a 16gb should do it for you but have an extra card around just in case.

That's why I use a LUMIX GH4. I can record 4K or 1080P continuously until the battery dies or the card is full, whichever comes first. No overheating whatsoever.

Hello My daughter is getting married Saturday and I would like to do some video with my camera. I have a Nikon d5200 I would like to get a bigger sd card so I can do video and still take pictures has anyone done this with their camera and could some one give me advice on which sd card to get thank you all so much there will be a photographer there im just taking some for my own and while im at it any advice on lenses I have 18-55, 55-300, 35mm and 150-600 which I know I wont need.

I used to shoot some video with my D7100. I could get at least a couple hours of video on a 16gb card. Also, you are shooting about 15-20 minutes per file. (The sensor will overheat at that point. So you can take one minute to change sdcards. You don't need fast cards for video. I haven't shot video yet with my a6300, but I plan to do so soon.

I would take the two smaller zoom lenses and open up the ISO to 1600 (Newer cameras can go up to 32 or even 64 without objectionable noise in the right environment.

If you want to record without limits (USA only) other than card capacity and battery life, get a LUMIX GH4. It won't overheat.

Lexar, Sandisk, Samsung and Toshiba manufacture their own SD card chips. As the industry is developing, it might pay to google sd cards for emerging data on read/write speeds and card designators like HC XC etc.
