I know the feeling. We were raised and spent the first 50 yrs. of our lives next to the beach at Marina Del Ray. Traveled up Hwy. 1 several times all the way to Crescent Lake, WA. We were back this past Feb. and after leaving our daughter and SIL in West LA, drove from Morro Bay to Monterey via Hwy. 1. Then up to Calistoga to visit our old neighbors from So. Cal. Gorgeous country and we do miss it. However, by retiring to SLC 23 yrs.ago, enjoy the fact that we can have breakfast at home and lunch in either AZ, NV, ID, WY or CO. Talk about paradise! :-D :-D :-D

I wish I knew. I hope the close-up shows more of the flowers
My wife, who once lived in Monterey, says they're Ice Plants (Carpobrotus edulis). Lovely shots.
Excellent set Sirius_one.
Sirius, these are fantastic shots! First time I've seen flowers like that on the rocks. Well done!
