Thanks for the info...quite a collection, I have been to a few of them but only a few, if I was still flying I would make it a point to see them all.

It certainly can fly! Didn't you see the movie?
Besides: 1) put car on deck of aircraft carrier 2) hook car to catapult 3) fire catapult
Car
WILL fly. Just not far or well and the landings still need work.
I have been to the Canada Air Museum in Ottawa and it is well worth the trip. It was the first time I ever saw a WW1 bomber.

Glad you enjoyed it! Another Navy pilot with whom I used to fly 45 years ago sent it to me.

What did you and your buddy fly if I may ask ?
Its a very good list but they missed a few. While Fantasy of Flight is / was a good museum, it has been closed for 2 years and MAY (at least temporarily) reopen this Father's Day. We drive by it regularly going between Clearwater, Fl. and Orlando, Fl. However, there is the Sun and Fun museum in Lakeland, Fl. (essentially 5 or so miles before Fantasy of Flight) which hosts the Sun and Fun Air Show and Fly-in every year. This is a nice little museum / aircraft restoration / student training location that is open to the public year round for a modest entry fee. Unfortunately, it is somewhat off the beaten path (located on the back side of Lakeland Air Field, so it gets missed a lot. They have a huge selection of stuff from Howard Hughes and other memorabilia.

Thanks for the link. And I thought we'd been to a few! Love the old planes.
