A couple had a tiff next door and she tried to get away from him by driving across my front lawn. Due to the rain we have had this spring and the fact that the car drove across and is sitting atop my septic field, the ground is too wet to support a car. The deepest ruts where she spun the wheels and dug it in deepest is 8 to 10 inches. I hope she didn't damage the field and I only need to smooth out the surface.
Should it be a little furthre to the right?
You seem to be taking this well. That is a testament to you. Sir, I commend you.
This is too funny to get mad about.

Until you need your leach field dug up and replaced for many thousands of dollars.... Good luck.
Looks like she got hers, walking through the soft ground trying to flee! I would think your septic field is fine, they are usually 4 to 6 FEET below the surface.

Oh sure!! I bet that is your car and you were out drinking!!!:):) The police got there fast.:)
Your septic should be fine. It should be deeper than the ruts are. Isn't it fun to have good neighbors? :):) I hope every thing turns out good for you!!!
And I hope you got a smile!!!
Will your homeowners insurance cover the damage. Does your local jurisdiction have anything to say about septic drainfielsd. Also, is that why your grass looks so healthy.

I commend you on your taking this so well. The only thing I question is your statement, "...and I only need to smooth out the surface." In that statement you said "I". It would seem incumbent on her to do the field fixing.

File a claim with her insurance company.
Make sure to have copies of police report
...If she was frightened enough of her "husband" to feel the need to flee across a neighbor's yard, I'd think maybe the "husband" should be the one required to fix the lawn, or at least HIS insurance. Glad nobody was hurt and, once the lawn dries out, towing it out won't cause too much more damage or ruts.
And, yes, septic fields are generally three-six feet below the surface, depending on where bedrock is. (I once lived in a house where bedrock was just four feet down. The cellar floor was, in fact, bedrock.)

Pop the trunk and put your barbie in there.
