D80 ERR

I had my D80 in storage for several months with battery out and when I put in a charged battery I got the ERR message. Also the clock message was on. I reset the clock and it works. Any Ideas on how to get it going again?

You will likely have to get the internal button battery replaced. It died after setting for so long without the cameras battery installed. I cannot help you with the procedure on that model though.

the D80 manual indicates the problem is a camera malfunction .....the suggestion is to press the shutter button again and release ..... if the error persists .... contact Nikon Service
