#1 is photo art. Sharp image of the bud, nice plain background and interesting contrast between the soft bud and the sharp thorns of the cactus. My first thought was that I would crop away as much of the thorns as possible, but then I saw the interesting contrast. Very nice!
Thanks for the constructive criticism.
The composition and rich colors of #1 really caught my eye. Beautiful!
#2 - in download it appears to glow. Very nice.
The D500 promises to be a very good camera. During the weekend at Pitman Photo here in Miami there was a Nikon representative showing this camera, the D5 and the new 200-500 f5.6 VR lens. If you ask me the lens was attracting more photographers than the new cameras.
Something puzzled me about the D500 and it was the absence of U1 and U2 which have been so useful at least in my photography. The Nikon Rep told me that I could find those parameters in the menu, which is inconvenient but he was unable to show me how. A friend of mine called Nikon and a young lady took his call and again she was unable to tell him where exactly in the menu those parameters were.
As I said, it is an excellent camera with great technology and outstanding low noise performance for a DX camera but it is not for me.
Your pictures are not only well composed and executed but they are also very beautiful.
