Hello all! I want to purchase a camera strap to allow for carrying my camera.
I have a 70D with battery grip and want to be able to swing it up to use it when I'm out walking around taking outdoor photos. I know there are different types but am wondering which ones I should consider & should I buy some Canon or B&H or Adorama or where? Thanks fo your input!

I have used UPstrap for years on many different cameras. I think they are the most convenient strap designed to not slip off of your shoulder.

I much prefer holsters or body clips over swinging straps ......

Check out Peak Design. I love the fact that I can quickly add a strap, and not take my wrist strap off the camera.
I'm not a big fan of straps.I almost always have my camera on a tripod. On the rare occasion when I do use a strap it is one of the sling type where the camera hangs at or just below you waist one one side of body. I hate the standard around the neck, camera on your belly straps. If you do want the camera to hang in front of your body look for one of the harness type straps that gets the weight off the back of your neck and doesn't allow the camera to bounce so much. I use this type of strap on my binoculars.

You might like the OpTechUSA sling strap.
My camera plate (by really right stuff) has a lug on the side that I use with my peak design leash strap.
Indigo Marble or Peak Design. My current favorite is Peak
Hello, Give the Carry speed prime fs-pro a look at
www.carryspeedstrap.com. I've been using this sling strap for a short time with a Canon 60D and Canon 70/200 lens. This has been the most comfortable and secure system I've used so far.
I like Peak Design because the strap can be removed very easily and it is long with easy buckles to shorten it. Also takes a hand strap easily.
Black Rapid Sport.
I love mine.
There are tons of good straps that people like for various reasons so it is no easy decision. You have to decide if you want just a strap or to buy into a strap system.

If I am hiking, I like my Cotton Carrier - everything is secured, but very easy to move into shooting position. Nothing is swinging. If I am at an event, a Black Rapid single or double is the ticket. Convenient, and the camera is always at your side ready to be brought to your eye for a shot. I would not recommend hiking with a Black Rapid - it takes a couple of days before the swelling at the location on your hip where the camera bangs into it to go down. :)
