Spied this family taking photos at a scenic overview, the little girl in the blue dress was running around taking selfies. I thought the scene interesting so shot a few trying to capture the action. It was fairly dark so ISO was cranked up to 3,200 and I also missed my focus point, but thought I'd post anyway! The one with the statue is amusing, looks like he is shooing her away!

The first shot is so descriptive of life today, which makes it good Street.

The second shot however is charming beyond description! A great example of working a scene and hitting the jackpot of that visual peak called a "decisive moment".

I'll never forget my frustration on the steps of Graceland, waiting patiently for a woman with a selfie stick to finish doing her "thing" so I could get my shot, while fearing my tour bus would leave without me.

I really like the mood on the first one. The girl is surrounded by groups of people, but is totally in her own world.

Thanks Apaflo, I'm glad you liked my shots. #2 was my favorite too, I was lucky to be in the right spot at the right time! Right after I took that shot, she packed up and left, so there were no further opportunities.

I know what you mean. These days I just try to incorporate the laggards into a good "street" photo; sometimes it works, but there are times I'd rather be shooting with a 45 caliber instead of a 45mm!

Now now fellows... just keep in mind that nobody was so crass as to take a .45 to you a few decades ago... : - )

Indeed :) . Whilst I'd not really ever use the .45, sometimes the contemplation is, shall we say, mentally satisfying! Thank goodness we don't have thought police - yet!
