This is on my way into work, shot back in late March.

The image comprises of 9 handheld shots (3 portrait orientations per exposure). From there the composites (-1, 0, +1 exposures) were all cropped to the same size and then merged to HDR in LR CC. Final tweaks were then made to boost color and contrast and adjust highlights/shadows.

Takes about about 20 minutes...but I think the result was worth it. Had to downsize the file a bit for it to upload here.

Not bad for a tiny m4/3 sensor.

Thank you...overboard HDR is not my style.

I don't think even a D810 would be able to handle how bright and dark this scene was with just a single photo. The extreme dynamic range of the scene really called for merging of exposures.

Thanks Linda

FYI, here is an unedited "0" exposure...in case anyone wanted to see a piece of the puzzle before I put it together.

After it had been in the 70's the week before and all the snow had melted off...I can tell you I wasn't very happy to see the white stuff return for the next couple of weeks. All is well now though.

Thanks for commenting.

Nice job on the pic but the same effect can be had with one shot in the camera using a hand held lightmeter. Check out Joe Brady's you tube videos sing the Sekonic 758-du light meter.

Thank you for posting this picture, it is beautiful.
Your PP is very well done.
Please explain what you mean by "3 portrait orientations per exposure".

Dave
