My son caught a monster catfish in the Edisto River which is in his backyard. This is a 54 pounder. My son said the old BIG ones such as this eat a lot of small fish and it's good to remove these monsters.

Catfish stew is on the menu soon.

How long did it take to boat it???

My son said not too long since he used a braided nylon line and set it up like a 'trotline' then was able to pull into the boat.
