So I'm looking to Recommend to a Niece and her fiancé, a Camera_Solution for their Honeymoon in Mid-September. -- REQUIREMENTS: Realism of Image, Ease of Operation, Quickness of Focus, are my Objectives for them. -- TARGETS: Beach & Nightclubs & Scenery & Selfies will be their Sunjects.
I'm a FAN of the Sony family; HOWEVER, it appears that they could purchase BOTH the 'Pan' PLUS the 'Sam' for 2/3 the Cost of the 'Sony'‼️
Sooooo...!!??!!??

Honestly for just ease of use and very fast AF I would choose the
Sony a6000 $500 or the new a6300 with kit lens $1150. I have many Sony's including the a7s and the RX10m3 looks very interesting. But the $6300 is a budget version almost on a par with their a7 series. And they can choose a couple of lens eventually. I don't know their skill set with cameras so the SLR format could be a challenge. I just can't put the 6300 down.
I am shooting a marathon this weekend with a Sony X70 camcorder but I packed the 6300 with 55mm 1.8 lens to grab art video and stills. This review by Tom Antos (who I think is very sincere) will help a lot. This camera can take a beating.

Hi Tom... I TOO am in LOVE with the 6300. THANKS for your Response; I feel the Bridge-Format and the 24-600 REACH is a 'perfect' travel capability.
----------
I had also looked at the Light L16 'Phone-sized' camera; Now THAT device is Amazing!!! HOWEVER the REACH isn't Long enough.

Generally speaking, you get what you pay for.

See what the "comparitors" say. By the way, avoid using brackets in you questions/answers because it messes up the Quote reply system.

Hi bill... Ain't THAT the Truth

;-) --- My 'concern' was that the Sony is 3X the cost of the Pan & the Sam; so, in that they BOTH test Very-Well, is it JUST the 20MP sensor, that accounts for the TRIPLE price? ...and do YOU feel that's 'Justifiable', Given the Requirements and Targets???

Hi Cdouthitt... BASICALLY, the SAME reason I didn't choose the Light 'L16' (see Above); Not enough REACH. --- Sony & Pan are 600mm optical and the Sam is 1200 (PLUS it has a 20mm WA). --- As the King said (in 'The King and I': "It's a Puzzlement !" --- THANKS for the Suggestion!!!

I am familiar with the Sony and Panasonic brands. They are excellent cameras. Each has affordable and not affordable to some. The choice comes to features and image quality that suits you. If price is not a factor, go for the highest price. The Sony RX10iii, not released yet I believe, has already been discussed on this forum.

It's interesting...but I wish they would focus on making high ISO more usable with the m4/3 sensor first rather than focusing on 6K, when 4K is barely supported.

Hi 'mas24'........ re: "...had been discussed...": Yes, I read it, and knowing that the Pan-FZ-300 had tested 'pretty darn good' for under $500, I did some additional research and found the Samsung WB2200F (also under $500), and the LIGHT 'L16' (which BLEW my alleged mind)!!! -- BUT the 'L16' is $1750; ...AND ONLY has a 4.3X Reach.)
