Sometimes you get an image home and onto your computer and find something that you hadn't noticed when you took the shot. That's what happened here, I didn't see the little girls posing on the bow of the ship until I went to process the image. They obviously saw me, as they were looking right into the camera. Here in Louisiana, we call that lagniappe.

I am very fond of the concept of lagniappe, and you're right. They are adorable. Wish we could see them better but that would only have been possible zoomed in more, and then we couldn't have see the whole boat which is obviously what you were after. You've done as well as you could to make them stand out using color saturation to help. The boat is very balanced, and that works rather well here. Nice image "with extras".

It's always interesting to see the unknown after the fact. I like to think of it as an added bonus. Nice capture with a suitable title. Well done Erik.

Thanks Min, Like I said, I didn't notice them until I got it on the computer. I'm glad that they were there though.
