For those who are interested in a live tutorial on processing Deep Space Objects using Photoshop here is the link

https://plus.google.com/events/cbo7il8m3do7hekpv748tup0ql0

It will start Sunday night at 9:30 EST

It also looks like it may be the best night of the month - so far - for imaging. If so, I may start the tutorial with how I use the "Polemaster by QHY" to polar align my OTA. PA using Polemaster takes no longer than 5 minutes.

Sounds good. If I can get back from my daughter's house in time, I will join. This will be 6:30PM CA time.

Even though the image was blurry and difficult to see, as well as not being able to see the adjustments you were doing, I had watched the other videos you posted, so I could understand what you were doing.

The other video's were crystal clear.

I didn't have a Google account to use with this so didn't seem to have a means to answer questions. But I was able to watch.

Thank you so much for all the help you have given. This has helped a lot.

Ed, you have a lot of knowledge, and these tips are great. Look forward to the next one. Also, if I could put in a request, I have issues capturing good flats, hopefully you can take a few minutes in one of your future hangouts to help out. Thanks again. Here is the screen capture I took.

This was my first and I think my last google hangout until I can sit along side someone who has worked out the quirks.

thanks for tunning in. I think I will continue with the videos.

Regarding the Flats - Are you using a CCD or DSLR camera? Easy to do with DSLR, a little more of a challenge with CCD but again not hard..

Mainly CCD, but wouldn't hurt to know DSLR.

I thought the advantage of a google hangout would be:

1) automatically creates a youtube video
2) Interactive - couldn't get voice to work - mutes were on and would not unmute. That way, other PS users with their on workflow could offer suggestions that work for them.

But after struggling with "share screen" and "mute" I will just stay the course and use Youtube to upload if doing anymore of these vids.

I plan to do a video on "Polemaster" tonight so you can see how easy it is to set up a PA with near perfect PA.

Edward,

The videos have been absolutely wonderful and the quality of the picture is superb. The Google version seems to scale down the video resolution to the point it is near unusable. I have really learned some good things from the videos so far.

I have been also watching some additional videos on fixing gradients using photoshop and don't know if i am learning the best way to do it or not from what I have found by googling.

Thanks again for your amazing efforts.
