I like the colors and patterns in this image. I think I would like it more without the starburst, but many will say to keep it in. You have done a nice job of exposing this image. It is not an easy on to get right.

I appreciate your kind comments. My ultimate critic (my wife) completely agrees with you. She urged me to enter a slightly different exposure that didn’t include the sun burst. She felt the sun burst was a little distracting.

No matter you did pretty good. I thought you should have placed a little higher in the competition, but there were some tough ones ahead of you.

I agree about the sunburst. it's too large and too bright. A smaller one would have been OK, I think. It really overwhelms the softness of the flowers on the tree.

Somewhat reluctantly, I have to agree with you and my wife. I had several exposures with only a hint of a sun burst and some taken at an angle without a sun burst. I liked all of them, but I felt the sun burst was a bit more dramatic. Oh well, it is what it is.

I think part of the problem with the sunburst is it is blown out. There rays are not crisp.

You have a great eye for detail. I agree the sunburst would have been better if the rays were sharper.
