I ordered some metal prints from AdoramaPix and chose the wall float option. They didn't provide any wall anchors. I've searched online for answers but haven't been able to find anything and their customer service is closed until Monday. Does anyone know if it needs wall anchors for drywall or are they light enough where they're not needed?

It honestly depends on the weight. I would use standard drywall anchors of the appropriate size no matter what it weighs, but I tend to err on the safe side.
Nothing worse than having the beautiful artwork that you are so proud of, just drop to the floor.

better safe than sorry, use the wall anchors
On the back of the wall float pads you will see a hole. I use 1 large finishing nail for both the top left and right mount. I measure the distance between the holes and place my nails that distance apart. Drive in nail until 1 1/4 inches still sticking out of wall. Of coarse on a slight angle and level with each other.. Love their metal prints but poor design for mounting. They are very light weight and I have not had any fall yet...
That said, I have also found some metal clips with loops like you find on regular wire hung picture frames. I plan on the No Float mount for my next order, then will epoxy the clips on the back of the prints and use wire for hanging..
I used anchors for a #10 screw and it did the job with no problem what soever. Batter safe and use the anchors, they are cheap enough. Pick them up in your local hardware store or any HomeDepot, etc.

These products are lighter than a picture frame with glass. Finish nails should be more than adequate.
I am probably diverting this thread some--so sorry, but it raises an issue I have had for a couple of years now. I have some metal prints that I ordered before really understanding how I wanted to mount them. I would love to use wall floats, but I have never really been able to find just the wall float backings for sale anywhere--art stores, online, asking around etc. Googling wall floats brings up all kinds of things but nothing like the wall floats on the prints that I have ordered more recently. Does anyone here know where I could buy just the wall floats to secure to the prints I have. Do they have some other kind of name that I am unaware of? Thanks
Check with ADORAMA, maybe they could give you the help that you are looking for. You just don't need the hanger, you need to have the frame that is mounted on the back of the metal print too. Don't forget that little item.
Thanks, Adorama is a good suggestion, I will give them a call. It is actually the frame on the back that I am looking for. Thanks again.

I'm considering a metal print. What type of subject are they better for? Color or B/W? I'm going to have 2 of my photos displayed in public, along with quite a few others from my camera club and thought one of them would look good in metal...a color flower and a b/w animal. I imagine a classic car would look nice on metal.

Hi,
This is Libby from AdoramaPix. When you received your metal print, did you also receive the wooden block or the "cleat" that comes with the backing? What size did you order? You can always reach me at libby@adoramapix.com

Yes, I did get the wooden block. The prints are 11"x17".
