Ah memories... I used to drive one of the straddle lift trucks in picture 4, when I was going to college in Central Oregon. The lumber industry was going strong in the late 50's. My dad worked a lumber mill. Later plywood, and we lived just across an irrigation canal from his shop at the mill. He walked to work, about 500 yards to his shop. He was a mechanic and kept machines like you've shown running for years. Fork lifts took over the task of the straddle trucks, and I drove those later.
Got me through the first two years of college.

My deep appreciation to all of you who looked and took the time to comment. It was an interesting place and the food esp deserts were exceptional. I am including a couple of pictures of the restaurant for your viewing enjoyment.
