So far as I know all these are weeds except the one of the Lamium "Beacon Silver". I had mentioned in a former reply that they had blue flowers but they obviously have yellow ones! My lamentable memory.

Corolyn, weeds are sometimes called "...any plant that grows where they are not wanted". In my opinion, native plants can be as pretty as any of the cultivated plant varieties. I am sure that you know what all these are. I believe that the first is BULBOUS BUTTERCUP and that the second is DAISY FLEABANE. Everyone knows the dreaded DANDELION. Haven't a clue on the others.

Thanks for sharing these.

Bob

Very nice shots. The selective focus is beautiful and effective.

You are more than welcome Bob. You hit them all on the head. The last is Lamium "Beacon Silver" someone posted a photo of the leaves and I gave the name but with my bad memory said they had blue blossoms. Well ours have yellow ones and I have since discovered they come in all kinds of colors of flowers. The foliage is anywhere from dark green to silver varicolored.

They being weeds the beauty of them is the softening of the focus . I love all the weeds in my garden so long as they stay in the lawn!

These are beautiful shots, Corolyn, and I do so agree with what Bob said about wildflowers.

Well my Mother always did say that it is a weed only when it grows where you don't want it. But these days I call them wildflowers too.

Shows weeds can be very pretty also that's why I have a yard of all weeds and the only work I have to do is take pictures of them....Rich
