Spent some time in Victoria and took the opportunity for a few night shots.
Nice work, this is my favorite style of photography.
Beautiful and very well done series!
All are very good, but the first one knocked my socks off. Wish you had included the camera settings. djt
Good set to view

Thanks Carol, I had fun with the night shots, took a bit of experimenting with exposures.

Your wish is my command! All shots were taken with a Nikon D810, here are the settings:
No.1 - Handheld, 28-300mm VR lens at 200mm, ISO 3200, 1/60", F5.6
No.2 - Handheld, 50mm F1.8 Prime lens, ISO 3200, 1/50", F2.8
No.3 - On Tripod, 24mm F2.8 Prime lens, ISO 400, 1/10", F3.5
No.4 - Handheld, 28-300mm VR lens at 28mm, ISO 1600, 1/100", F6.3

Appreciate the info. No real long exposures I see. The 810 must handle high ISO noise as well as my 70D. Makes a difference if you don't have to remove too much noise.

Yes, the D810 is pretty good with noise at high ISO for a high MP camera. My postings were pretty much straight out of the camera; they were JPEG Normal files so the camera may have applied some noise reduction. I have the RAW files but don't have a reader for the CF card they are on, so won't see them until I return to base. I was surprised with picture No.1 shooting hand held at 200mm and 1/60 sec., I thought it would be blurry but the VR in the lens worked well. The following shot was at 1/4 sec., handheld, also at ISO 3200; it isn't tack sharp but still acceptable, VR is amazing.

Thanks very much. The fountain was challenging, I had to use quite a few different shutter speeds to get the desired effect.
