Good action series and lovely landscape at the end.

Thanks so much Photophile. That landscape at the end is the community that I live in. I love it!

#s 1, 2 and 3 for me. #4 almost makes it but the blurry spectator is distracting. Remember Brent, I'm looking at these as a former equestrian competitor and consider what I would buy if a professional photographer had taken shots of me. Horse show photographers make a career out of it but often lack your artistic eye. Some of the more interesting shots are often found behind the scenes back in the barn area.

Good job on these.

Thanks Vicki for the "good job on these" comment. I know you are really into competition jumping horses and you are still active with horses. I put some of the different photos on this thread. I have plenty more that are typical but very good in my opinion, including the "behind the scenes" shots of the paddok area etc. If you would like to see more, I think you might be able to bend my arm! lol Just say the word! lol

Well Vicki, since you said "please", how can i resist you? Here are a bunch of behind the scenes photos and a couple of "in front of the scene" shots too. I hope you think these are worth WWCD awards!

Lots of fun shots here Brent. I enjoyed seeing all of them and am glad you attached them, but I'm glad I'm not doing this anymore. There's lots of "hurry up and wait" especially at H/J shows where only one horse is in the arena at a time and there are 50 rides ahead of you. Dressage is more sane. If you're scheduled to ride at 3:57 PM, you enter the arena at 3:57 or only a couple of minutes (as opposed to hours) later. You might want to find a dressage show to shoot or find a show where there are some western classes as well as jumping.

BTW Was this at Del Mar?

Yes Vicki, I'm glad I am not into this event either! I hate to hurry up and wait. No, this event was not at Del Mar, it was at San Juan Capistrano. I spoke with one of the contestants and she said the city is trying to get rid of the event so they can build homes on the site.........very sad I think.
I'm glad you enjoyed seeing my behind the scenes that I put on here just for you. I'm sure my photos look similar to what you have experienced in the past and I hope it brought back fond memories!

Yes Natalie, someone DID notice the obvious PP on #5..................YOU! Good catch. I don't think anyone else noticed it or at least didn't comment on it to my knowledge. Good job! Go to the head of the class! lol
