I just thought I would post something from the past that I was tweaking on.
Horsehead Nebula, Celestron 9.25" scope, 2400mm, Nikon D600 Modified to H-a,
Auto guided with Orion camera and scope.
121 sec, ISO 400, Cropped to 3708x3288
Processed in Lightroom and Topaz DeNoise.
I expect to do much better with the new Celestron 8300 Camera
I just fired up today in the house for the first time.

That almost 10" beast really gave you good stuff to work with.
Add in the Nikon done right and bang, you shoot Bulls eyes.
Keep doing what your supposed to do and don't over do it.
Looking forward to your mountain top shots.
I think I found a place to get the Mercury shots a bit earlier than I will if I stay here in albuq.
Anyone starting a rain pool for that date?

Thank you very much Jim I still have a long way to go.

Very cool outcome, Quite impressive for a single image without calibration. The detail is astounding, I tend to have issues with my reds when imaging with a camera that is highly sensitive to Ha. The image starts off quite red, as one would expect, but when I try to correct it, most programs will try to shift it to a Salmon/Pink color that even if correct looks far too fake.

Your color is stark with plenty of contrast, well done.
