In a couple recent topics, it has been suggested there are too many "issues" with Lightroom's current versions. Apparently, there are about 60,000 signed up as UHH members and millions of Lightroom users. Some have said they won't use it because it is too flaky.
I thought it would be fun and interesting to see how many find it reliable and how find it a failure. The point here is not whether or not you like the perpetual licence plan or the CC rental plan, but only if Lightroom "works reliably".
Would you please post a "Good" if it is reliable and a "Bad" if it is not reliable.
My post is "Good". It has been flawless.

As far as I'm concerned its "Good" Its completely reliable.
While there were a few issues with Lightroom when they redesigned the import feature recently, they were resolved when the earlier version of the import functionality was restored. Other then that, most, in fact virtually all, issues you may have read about are the result of user error. Far too many users seem to believe they can use Lightroom with a minimum investment of time. That's not the case. A thorough understanding of the Import and cataloging features is critical to getting the most out of this program. Further, many people have created their own problems when they delete, move or rename folders and images outside of Lightroom. Lightroom has a file manager and catalog. Once you import images so Lightroom can work on them, it knows the names of the image files and the names and locations of the folders they are in. If you make changes outside of Lightroom to these folders and images, Lightroom can no longer find them. For those of us who use Lightroom regularly, and have actually taken the time to learn how to use it properly, there are no issues.

Definitely Good for me....
I don't particularly like the program. I have tried to like it a number of times and don't. But in the number of times I have tried it, it was rock solid.

I have been using lightroom since version 3. I use it almost to its' full capabilities. I read a lot where people have it and actually, all they need to use is the ACR in elements or photoshop. Lightroom was never meant to be an "instead of" program. For me, it makes my editing so much quicker. I have never had a catalog problem. I did have some of the glitches that came along with an update in lightroom cc a couple of upgrades ago, but nothing to write home about.
LR rocks...don't know why there are so many haters.

Based on what I've read I believe they hate it mostly because they don't understand how to use it properly.
Began with LR 5.7 and call it good.
Upgraded to 6.0 when it was released and did not like it at all, tried the next iteration and did not like either.
Now with 6.5 it is good again. Using the graphics card assist is better than not using it, graphic card assist was like a turd in the earlier 6.x versions.
Good!! Rock solid. Digital photography would be much more difficult without it. But then, I bought a book and watched the videos and spent time to learn how it is supposed to work. It's powerful and not to be taken lightly.
I've been using LR since 2012 (LR 4 I think) I ran it on a Win 7 laptop with no issues, upgraded to LR5 and then to LR CC without any difficulties. A few months ago I bought a new desktop PC for photo editing and it came with Win 10. Installed LR (& PS) on the new PC and transferred my LR catalog and image files over with no problems at all. I've been through a couple of updates to LR on the Win 10 PC with no problems.

The only time I've had a problem with Lightroom is when I screw up. The program (except for one update that was fixed in about a week) has always worked well.
