Not sure about the skin tone, it looked good on my monitor but it is not calibrated. Took this yesterday at a charity event by the Paul Mitchell system hair school here in town.

Great shot, the only thing I would do is to get rid of the bit chiffon where it meets the dress on the left as it is frayed and sticks out.... Other than that ..

I do like this shot a lot.
From a technical standpoint she is horror lit.
Horror light comes from the bottom.
With the hair styled the way it is I do think that th lighting works here.
Given a more standard type lighting it would change the feel of the image.
The image would work great in a salon hanging on a wall accompanied with other less horror lit work.
Excellent example of how this lighting can be used in a beauty type scenario.
What I like most about this image is it makes me think.
Very nice!
Regards,
Russ

The Chiffon was a cool cape coming up above the model in the back but with the amount of light coming from the back I lost all that detail.

Thanks for looking Russ the light set up is almost butterfly lighting but I brought the main light too high to show in the models eyes because I was trying to get enough light on her hair . Do you think I need to add a catch light to her eyes so it doesn't look like monster lighting

Hi Greg, I did not mean the chiffon behind her, that looks good but the chiffon where it comes down her front and meets the dress opposite her armpit on the left looking at her. It is a small frayed bit that notices as it breaks the line going down... It will clone out...

Whoever designed the makeup deserves some credit for the success of the portrait.

You are so right this shot is from a charity event put on by the Paul Mitchell hair school here in town so the hair and make was done to show case the future professionals graduating from the school. Some of the looks they put together were just amazing,

I see what your talking about, I thought you meant the piece on her back. I went back and cloned it out of the shot, I just didn't repost it here. Thanks for mentioning it I totally missed it.

No problem Greg, It was only a small thing but looks better gone. I thought the chiffon at the back looked very good....
