I have been planting milkweed and nectar plants for about 5 or 6 years now to help save the Monarchs. It's working! I have the most caterpillars ever. They have been munching out, getting fat and changing right before my eyes. They will start hatching out into butterflies in less than 2 weeks.
Just beautiful..I"m going to go to the butterfly farm in kew West Fl. soon myself, and photograph this amazing event......nice shots..

Thank you, they have a wonderful one at the University of Florida Natural History Museum in Gainsville if you get anywhere near there. It was one of the best I've been to. I am a butterfly stalker, and love to photograph nature. Thanks for looking and the compliment.
Great pictures and interesting story,,
Roxiemarty great shots and I like the fact that you have the milkweed going. I was liking #3 the group shot but then I looked at the collage and that's really a good one. The more I look at it and think the collage is it. Thanks for posting
Your photos are beautiful, I love butterflies and plant flowers & butterfly bushes to attract them in the Midwest, but this is amazing thank you for posting there transformation.
Great series of Monarch shots. I have quite a few on my milkweed but no chrysalis so far that I have seen this spring. It is a fun and rewarding hobby.
Nice work! The more you feed, the more will hatch and fly our way!
Bob
Oh I'm jealous, Roxie! A butterfly farm is not only exciting to watch, but you have a nature photo studio at your disposal. Beautiful and interesting shots!!
Thank you Dixie. And I get butterflies to photograph later this summer.
Yes, you do, and I'm so looking forward to seeing them!
