In the late 80's I bought a Kodak photo vest. Loved it. So here I am 25 years later and I'm a bit bigger.

I'm looking for a descent one, not too expensive, I usually carry two cameras ( 1 w/tele, 1w/norm or wide angel ). Pockets for flash, another lens, extra batteries, caps etc.

Anyone made a wise choice? let me know.

The Domke Photogs vest is lightweight, very durable, and reasonably priced. I have used mine for over 25 years now with absolutely no problems at all. Thats worth the extra $10 or $20 over the Chinese junk in my book any day!
I am 6'5" and 280# and wear the XXL size. And it definitely get USED as this pic will attest:

Yes, it looks great. I'm 5'9.5", 212#

Have you ever washed it, did it shrink a bit?

Is it all cotton or part polyester?

Its 100% cotton and has been washed dozens of times. It hasn't really shrunk much at all, but it has gotten much softer in time. Also has 2 water resistant lined pockets for lenses so they protected in wet weather and some of the pockets are nylon lined too.

Just my .02$ worth. Have had several Domke camera bags and loved the first one so much that when it was stolen (with all my camera gear) it was one of the first things I replaced. If their vests are as strong and well constructed I would highly recommend them.

This is what mine is too. Mines a "L". Got it used but in great shape. They run large. I'm 6'1" 195 and it's big on me but nice to have room to put stuff in the pockets.

I thought I would add something here. I regularly see "photographers" wearing fishing vests, they are easy to spot, you HEAR them coming! Fishing vest are made for water use and are made of nylon, or Cordura, or polyester or other synthetic fabrics. These materials always rustle whenever gear or arms or branches, etc. brush against them. If you are shooting wildlife this does little more than advertise your presence and chase the subjects away. If you don't shoot wildlife then it doesn't matter too much. For wildlife you will always want a 100% cotton vest for silent wear.
