Is this lens adequate for landscapes. I'm looking for an inexpensive lens to hold me until one that I have ordered is delivered.

Thanks in advance for your help.

it would be adequate, but not ideal. I would prefer something in the 24 to 28 mm range for landscape.

No. At least not for my style of landscapes. In the Panasonic Lumix line they are "micro four thirds" and the "effective" focal length is double. In other words, that is the "full frame equivalent" of 90 to 300mm. It is a telephoto zoom lens and might make great shots of distant mountains!

I'm waiting for the white Amazon truck to deliver the 12 - 35 F2.8 and have the 100 - 400 but that's not what I'm going for today. Thank you for your opinions. I will put my impulse control in check and wait for the truck. In this case, the SUV. :)

Thank you!

I'm jealous over the 100-400. Have you had it long enough for an opinion?

No, only about one week and only took it out once. It's a gorgeous looking lens. Next weekend might be a zoo trip weekend. If so, I'll post some photos.
