Today was a bush day and I don't just mean photos. I worked clearing out weeds on one patch about 5'x8' and added amendments. Discovered that a peony I thought I lost came up after all. Now I bring you shots of the anemones again and the daffodil with the orange cup along with shots of the pink flowering almond and Lorapetalum which is setting berries. Was shooting some more wisteria and got a bee in flight! Excitement excitement! Around beside the drive was the flowering crab Apple with still some fruit as well as blossoms and lastly a dragon in the grass.

Spring has sprung
and you caught it.

Hope they survive the "polar vortex" the long range forecast says is coming south in the next week. If you are lucky the effects won't make it too far south of the Great Lakes.

Went back and looked.

Also edited my post, a weather map shows cold heading down from the polar region and maybe making it to the Ohio Valley or a bit south of there.

I'm glad I waited a while to comment, Corolyn. I would have missed the last ones. These just have to be your best ones yet. All are just beautiful, and the bumble in flight is amazing. By the way, your crabapple blossoms make our pale ones look anemic. ;-)

Corolyn, love the colors and the sharpness. I see you caught a dragon also. You and Paula have the dragon slaying going for you.

Thanks Paula. I was actually going for that shot. I had watched another one hovering and then landing so I actually had a second or two in which to catch the next on waiting to land.

Thanks Donna. So glad you got to them all. The blossoms on my crabapple are actually of many shades of the same color. Some light and some more intense. I missed out getting the honeybee on the crabapple. Every time one landed it crawled under the flower!

Thanks Greg. I was disappointed in the dragon. The light was just sparkling on the wings making it hard to focus on the eyes for the sharpest shot.

Corolyn I won't bore you with all I don't know about flowers which is vast to say the least, but your bee in flight shot is great! I like the detail on the pink flowering almond and the daffodil (I know that one)is really good too. I look forward to seeing what you're getting this year from the garden.
