Hard to focus

These little guy's are sometimes hard to get in focus. But I do like trying. Love their eyes:)

Focusing on dragons can be hard indeed, Paula, but it looks like you did great with this one. Beautiful shot. Just a tip..the faster the shutter speed the better for these little critters, Paula, because even when they're perched, they're constantly moving their heads, etc. They don't make it very easy. :-D

Paula, I saw my first dragon this afternoon. No camera but a dog leash. Going hunting for them when it warms up after the rain coming in tonight through Friday PM.

You caught this one perfectly as far as this man is concerned. Thanks for posting it.

You seem to have done a good job here. I have read that they return to the same place/branch. So patience is the key and of course faster shutter as already mentioned above should help.

They are hard to focus but running around the yard after them is fun!! You did a great job focusing on this one, Paula, beautiful details on the wings!!! I'm looking forward to seeing them over here!!
