Beautiful Bighorn Sheep

My husband and I spent the day at the desert looking for Bighorn Sheep. We found 11 rams. We spent over 7 hours following them. Here are a few of the head shots I took. Later we went back to see if we could find the moms and babies but didn't see any.

Thank you Linda! We got to the desert at 6:30AMand didn't get home until after 10:00PM. It was 92 degrees. I'm lucky that Alan likes photographing as much as me. At one point all the sheep and Alan took a nap. We were so close to them that my lens couldn't get a picture. If you ever come to San Diego plan on staying with me for a few days. It would be fun to take you with us.

Thanks so much Brent! These were taken with my canon 7D Mark11 and a 100-400L 11 lens. It's a great combo for wildlife. The bighorn were so close that it was hard to get them in a picture without cutting off body parts. It's worth a trip out to Anza Borrego if you like photographing them.
