sensor cleaning with/without low pass filter

Is there any differnce in the process followed when manually cleaning a DSLR sensor if it does (or doesn't not ) have a low pass filter?

Nope, same deal either way. Even if you don't have a low pass filter, there's still a piece of glass over the sensor itself.

Steve: So, if you do have a filter, are you cleaning it instead of the sensor or the glass that's over the sensor? Obviously I have no idea as to the sensor's internal structure

Yes. You never clean the "actual" surface of the sensor, it's always under something.
