am disappointed that I couldn't get a highlight in the eye, was too far away for flash and the light angle was wrong, am just starting to learn the Tamron 150-600, will try it with a Kenko teleplus 300 1.4 extender.

I've had great success using a flash extender with the Sigma 150-600. If you don't have one there are several on the market. I prefer the better beamer unit and they're only around $35.

did you try a flash? it may not have add light to the over-all image but may have added the catch light.
