Thought it was an attaactive price for a new lens. It appears to be grey market however with one year seller warranty.

At a little over half of what B&H is asking for the lens with a U.S. warranty, it has to be gray market. The only problem with gray market is where do you have to send it if you have a warranty issue.

There lies the problem! It is sold with one year seller warranty. I guess that I could ask seller that question. If I used PP which I do with almost all transaction they are good about things. But for a year warranty I question. Canon of course works on Grey Market but no warranty. I would considerate it like buying used of off sidewalk. Then it's still a great price. Used wholesale pricing seems to be 425-500 USD.
