While this seems to me like an intelligent observation, I feel certain that it will generate insults from the usual suspects.

That is all they know how to do since having an intelligent and rational conversation seems beyond them.

But here it is:

Good observations for all religious folks like the LGBT, Environment, Global Warming, etc. One does not have to have Christ in the doctrine to be classified as a religion.....Please don't bark out about the piece being only about Christians. I think it applies to all groups of folks "of cause".

BTW, bringing anything to the UHH and expecting a rational or objective argument is a fools mission.

I have a question for you. It is not meant to be derogatory, just simple curiosity. You are one of my favorite references on this site for photo information. I absolutely love your photography. I love reading your photographic explanations and advice. When I first started on this site, I never saw you engaged in the political or religious conversations/ rants or whatever one wishes to call them. Why now? And why are you engaging in "Christian" topics when it seems by some conversations (I could be wrong) that you are not a Christian.

I was a Christian at one time. I am now neutral. I think I am a rather spiritual person, but I think religions are a waste of time. I respect those who believe. I do not. I work with - and am on the board of - a charity than many feel has rather significant religious leanings. I do it because it is a good thing and NOTHING to do with any superstitious beliefs.

I really stop by here just to bait SBW, Heart, Kenny, Checkmate and the like. Sort of a hobby.
I am not engaging in Christian topics, I just read this and thought it provided a thoughtful counterpoint to the group here that cannot understand that an agnostic or atheist can be a republican and conservative, or that a republican can have a liberal leaning on some issues. Or that a Democrat can be very conservative on issues. They are incapable of critical thinking.

The hardliners here are just easy to bait and provide entertainment with their constant homosexual insults.

Oh yeah - I will always give you good photo advice!

Thank you very much for answering my question. I can respect and agree with your analogy. I do believe that some "Organized" religions are bunk. And you are right about one thing, sometimes the conversations on this forum can be entertaining. But sometimes they are disturbing.

Thank you for past (and future) advice. :-)

8- when you put religion and politics in the same bed, it's just as bad with Christians as Muslims.
