An old 6x7 negative resurrected from 40 years ago. The negative was scanned twice and the two images layered and blended to achieve the result that skillful printing might have accomplished forty years ago.

Presumably two scans would produce two identical copies of the negative. Were the two scans done with different scanner settings. How were the two copies blended to get the effect sought. In Photoshop or something else. Sounds like an i teresting technique.

Thanx for resurrecting this. We miss pieces of our heritage when old things, like this photo are lost.

PS stacking? HDR-type process? It worked well none the less...

I use an Epson scanner and can scan at different densities. I then layered the photos and blended the sky. I also increased the contrast in selected areas.
