Had the original 70-200 VR . Sold it for the same reason I bought the Olympus mirrorless system. Too much weight to haul around. Most of my photography is done mountain biking, kayaking, or traveling in general.

They're great lenses, but since I do primarily landscape, I don't often need the faster stuff, though I do have all the new 1.8 primes when I want fast, plus they're pretty light.

Mine is in very good to excellent condition, not used a whole lot, but it is a well regarded and very sharp lens. Read reviews at Amazon, Ken Rockwell, or anywhere. Works with a 1.4X teleconverter if your camera will autofocus at f/8.
