I wanted to wait until the moon was full, but didn't have that kind of patience. Here's a half moon. I'm enjoying this lens!

Much better shot at this phase than full... Look at the details along the terminator - day/night line, not Ahnold! When the moon is full, the sun is effectively shining straight downwards, and the shadows disappear. This makes it look 'flat'.

If you shoot it throughout its phases, you get that great shadow line moving across the face.

Nice shot!

your moon shots, truly are excellent, and the detail truly is remarkable , especially the craters on the moon, truly makes the Sigma sport lets shine, over its competitors

I really love my lens too! Haven't tried any moon shots yet, but your photo inspires me to do so.

Think of the phases of the moon like normal daylight. A full moon is like noon time sun high contrast less detail. Quarter moon = golden hour more detail less contrast able to see craters shadows. Yours is a keeper

Excellent. Great detail. Some times being impatient pays off. Can see why you love that lens.
