Ever since I found this site I've wondered why the name Ugly Hedgehog. I know that hedgehogs are native to Europe, Asia and Africa, but not the Americas. But they are popular with a lot of people as pets because they are so "cute." So, why Ugly Hedgehog?

There is a suspicion that cutehedgehog was already registered.
There is also another suspicion that the site is used for covert communications between the owner and former government operatives with whom the owner was associated in the past.
The site is used to pass covert information on to other agents. This is done through "pixel coding" some of the images.

It was always the name when I came aboard about 5 years ago. It's Ok with me. At least no other group will steal it.

Most of us just call it "The Hog", when people join just saying welcome to the hog. So it's not like in conversation we really call it the full name anyways.
