The FED is now talking about negative interest rates, the last 8 years have been horrible for older folks depending on savings accounts and bond income.

the federal reserve is not government controlled. the banks and corps that lobby the Government are to blame. it will get worse.

On the face of it, it's not controlled by the Gov, but in reality, it is given it's power by Congress and it's Chairman is appointed by the sitting US President, so in effect, by the Administration having their guy at the wheel, it does have a very heavy finger on the ultimate direction of the FED.

Whether or not you 'forced' me to read it is not the issue; the issue is that it's a lousy article, without fact or meaning, and it seems to be a tool to fan panic to the writer's profit.
