I may have put this photo in some time ago, but I would like to show it again. It shows the value of photography to our family traditions and history.
This photo is of my wife's grandfather and his two sons taken by her grandmother in circa 1920 on their Montana homestead sheep ranch.
(My wife's father is at his right). They made a go of it for about 10 years but then were dried out with a seven year drought causing them to move to Southern California to begin a new life.
Note the character, determination and strength in this photo.
Thanks to our grandmother for taken several B&W's during those days.
We are much richer for it.
I was able to restore this old print to its current condition.
I like the composition. Photos preserve our history.
Well worth the restoration!
