Alaska: Flying Tiger is flying no more.
F/V Flying Tiger beached at Wrangell island,Alaska.
Those are really good shots..you really know your way around a wide angle lens.
Nice foreground interest...nice framing/nice angles...good color...these are good shots.
Can you fill me in on your exif data? Camera? Lens? settings?
I'm curious.

loved the first one with the crab in the foreground. I was expectinga rusting hulk of a p-40 warhawk with flying tiger sharks mouth on its side.

Camera:Canon T1i, lens Tamron 10-24. I never pay attention to the exif data, they are deleted during download because I consider them useless.I only keep the date when the photo was taken and the photo ID number. But I can tell you these photos were taken at auto "P" and "AV"(with the crab) setting, I never use manual.Thank you,Ivan.
Really great series.....as always! Thanks for continually inspiring!

Ivan,
Stunning as always. I too figured that these were going to be about a P40, I'm an Air Force brat. was this one of the boats that has washed up on the shores of Alaska from Japan?

LOL, Sinatraman, that is exactly what I thought I was going to see. I LOVE the P-40 (hence my avatar) and was all excited about seeing one that needed to be rescued and restored! Ivan, Fantastic as always. I love the one with the crab, even though crabs creep me out. Cheers.

No,this is an Alaskan boat.As far as I know no debris from the Japanese tsunami reached this area yet.Now for the somehow misleading title for this thread the name of this wreck is really Flying Tiger. I must admit sometimes I like to give people a wrong expectation while not making anything up.
When you are into airplanes, are you familiar with Carvair and Bristol Freighter 170?
Thank you,Ivan.
