Mac and PSE-13

Maybe it's just me, but I'm close to throwing my Mac out the window. I'm trying to learn PSE-13 and it's a great program, but when the brush tool doesn't work, the picture suddenly rotates on its own and shrinks to a 1/4 inch square it's frustrating. Does anyone else have issues with PSE-13 on a Mac. I'm using version OS X 10.11.2 Thanks in advance for any words of encouragement.

Doubtful it is the Mac - I have used a Mac with several versions of PSE, now Lightroom and Photoshop...

Check your mouse "features." The blue tooth mouse can be very sensitive.

Thanks. Must be me. Back to the drawing board. Usually I'm pretty tenacious, but today it got to me.

Thanks. I'm not using a mouse and it's a MacBook Pro. Maybe a mouse would help. Using the track pad is difficult sometimes.

If you are using a trackpad, that may be your issue - is there an Apple store near you? They can double check and perhaps advise.

Least wise they could connect a mouse and test.

I stopped using the track pad.

Get a USB mouse. The trackpad is too sensitive to try and do mouse things with your fingers.

Really? I absolutely love the trackpad on the MB Pro... BUT you have to take the time to learn all the gestures. It's not a perfect interface but way more capable than a mouse.

I'm an old geek, you know, back when a 20-meg hard drive weighed 100 pounds, and Al had yet to invent the Internet, and the GUI was some unborn kid's epiphany.

Thanks. I'll follow up on that. I have Apple Care and a store not to far away. Maybe it's not just me.

Thanks. At least now I have something to work at besides which window to toss it out.

Your right about those gestures. Using two fingers for a right click, etc. Maybe I need to practice. I was just disappointed that when I should have been able to have used the brush to reveal the underlying layer it did it one time and then the next made a black line. Oh so frustrating. Thanks for your comment. Food for thought.

I also have a MacBook Pro, an old one. I almost never use the trackpad; even when I travel, I use a BT mouse. My only complaint is that the warning between a low mouse battery and a dead mouse battery can be as little as fifteen minutes; but I buy lots of AA batteries and always have some around.

If you are using the big stand alone trackpad it might be good. I never used a trackpad when I had the old windows xp laptops, I always used a mouse. The trackpad always felt funny to me.
