Nice shots of a fascinating subject. I believe those ruins date from the 1200s AD. The Great Drought chased the inhabitants away in the late-1200s.
looks like a place you could spend days exploring.
Yea guys, thanks for your input. The place was so fascinating that i will return on a guided photoshoot. My recent visit was quite limited due to damage at one of the sites. I was just in total amazement looking at... what early americans lived like.
great images. I was there last Nov very late in the day and starting to get dark. There was one ranger there who told us they don't let people close to the ruins anymore because there is a danger of it caving in--hopefully that doesn't happen
visited The Kasha Katuwe Slot Canyons near Sante Fe, N.Mexico...heres a couple shots from there. It was free!
